Speaker, Scientist, Consultant


Nick Schneider is a Consultant in the Boston Office of The Boston Consulting Group. His primary interests include Tech, Education, and Industrial Goods. 

Prior to joining the firm, Nick was a Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania working in nanoscience with Haim Bau. Collaborating closely with Frances Ross of IBM TJ Watson Research Center, he focused on applications in energy storage; metallurgical process efficiency; low cost long cycle life batteries; in situ electrochemistry; and radiation induced phenomena in liquids. He is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications and a book chapter.

Nick has a PhD from the department of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania, and concurrent BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology where he was the commencement speaker and currently serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
